DB Schenker welcomes students to its Sucat facility
Students from PAPSI, IloIlo city visited DB Schenker Philippines’ facility in Sucat, Parañaque City

(20 October 2011, Sucat, Philippines) Around 30 high school students from IloIlo City’s Philippine American Progress School Inc. (PAPSI) Sea Scout Division spent half a day at DB Schenker Philippines’ facility in Sucat, Paranaque City. Part of PAPSI’s Program is to give their students practical learning experience and give them exposure and knowledge on how multinational companies operate.
DB Schenker Philippines’ Managing Director, Mr. Reiner Allgeier gave the students a general orientation of the company’s history, background and business processes. The orientation was followed by a tour of the company’s office and warehouses, giving the students a first hand look and experience of DB Schenker Philippines’ day to day operations and activities.
DB Schenker values highly the youth and education. The company wants to instill business understanding and business ethics to students regardless of their educational status. Schenker Philippnes, Inc.’s Managing Director, Mr. Allgeier says “We, as a company, commit ourselves and our time to students and give them importance. It is a privilege as well for our company that these students learn more about Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions and the activities of DB Schenker, hoping that some of them might become highly motivated employees or valued customers in the future.”
To date, DB Schenker has invited and welcomed over 100 students from 3 different schools/universities this year and will continue to orient and educate more students in the years to come about the company’s activities and success.
